Time sure flies! :)

Wow, it's been so long since updating! (seems like I say this every time)! ;)
So much has happened, if I did have the time to write it down, I probably wouldn't be able to remember all of it! :-)

Since the last post, we've packed up our house in NY and moved back to MI. LOTS of things involved w/the whole moving process. But the thing that we're clinging to is God's faithfulness, His guiding hand and looking for the next step for our lives!

Since being here our time has been filled with the normal un-packing and organizing process that comes along with moving. Some days it was very easy to feel like we never get anything accomplished. But sure enough, slowly we're getting semi-settled! At least the most we can be for now. This house is up for sale too, so we'll see when we'll be start the moving process again! Dad has already started the process of remodeling our basement so we can have a little more room to live. Now that we will be here full time, it will be a blessing to have the extra living space! :) Things have been kind of un-settled because of the construction going on....but one of these days we'll get it all settled!?!

The work is still being done on the Group home too. Plans have kind of changed some. It will now be an Assisted Living Home. Dad is busy with that too. He's working so hard and very long days.

I've been trying to get caught up on college. Haven't really had the time that I normally do to devote to studying Spanish. So I'll probably pick that back up this fall.? Dad, Jesse, Sarah and I started taking a class through the Bible Institute at the church here. It's a Personal Evangelism course. I didn't really know or realize that it was 6 weeks worth of training and then 2-3 weeks of personal application. All being done in 3 weeks!! :) We have two weeks of the classes. Then some personal application. Which involves going out to witness, presenting the Gospel to people. All with things that we've learned from this class! It's a lot of memorizing/studying to get done in two weeks worth of classes. But I know that it will be worth it! :) The first class was very good, and I know that the next one will be too! :) Just lots of things to memorize!! Still working on this quarter's work in Bible College too. So everyday there's something to be learned!! :)

It's hard to believe that it's already been 3 weeks since we officially moved back to MI! At times it seems like the time has gone fast. Just because we've all been so busy with settling in etc. But then at other times it seems like it's been way longer than 3 weeks! :)

We're so used to our normal schedule of traveling back and forth every 2-3 weeks. That at times I find myself thinking that we'll be packing and going back to NY any day. It was an interesting feeling when reality hit, realizing that this is it. We're not going back for a while. Then when we do it will be just for a visit...such a weird thought at times!!!

But, God is SO good, He's SO faithful and it's been an exciting month and a half!! There have been many times where it's been a real challenge for many reasons. But I can look back and see how God has strengthened me and my family because of it all. Just have to daily look at the blessings of God. Can't focus on what "may have been". But only on what we know for sure...and that is the Word of God stands true. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever!! We're so blessed to be on this journey of life and to have God as our personal Savior, guide, protector and friend!!! :) Such a neat thing to see how God has allowed different things to happen and we get the benefit of growing closer to Him!!

It's all about the perspective...if you really take time to think about it, there's always something, or someone who is worse off than you. I'm praising God for the many opportunities that He's given to me as a challenge the past month and a half! I hope and pray that I've been a blessing to those who He's placed in my life!! That's my goal, anyways! :)

Since being in MI, I've become an Aunt once again too!! Amanda had her baby June 3rd. He's so adorable and has such a calm personality! It's such a neat feeling to feel your heart falling in love with such a tiny little baby!! It was a neat experience and a blessing to be a part of it! Looking forward to watching Nathan grow up into a little man! :)

Well, it's getting late and there's still lots to get done!! :)

So until next time... (hopefully it won't be as long as this last time)!!

God bless!
